Making Worship Personal
• If you were in charge of a church worship service, what would it be like?
• What part of worship makes you feel closest to God? Why?
“I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands.”
Psalm 63:4
A family-friendly church is one in which all members of the family are challenged, given opportunities for meaningful worship, and led to a closer relationship with the Lord.
Worship is too important to take lightly. That goes for kids as well as adults. If you’re old enough to talk, you’re old enough to worship. And if you’re old enough to worship, you’re old enough to take it seriously.
God created us to worship him. If we try to avoid worship or treat it like a chore, we’re telling God we’re not interested in him. If, on the other hand, we fully participate in worship opportunities — and even create some of our own—our relationship with God will deepen.
PRAYER
Dear God, we praise you for who you are. We praise you for what you’ve done. We praise you for what you’ve promised to do in the future. We will worship you forever. Amen.
