Resurrection Power

By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.
1 Corinthians 6:14

Jesus, the Son of God, died on the cross to save us. This is the sad part of the story. But the entire basis of our faith—the reason for our hope and the joy in our salvation—lies in this: Jesus didn’t stay dead. He didn’t stay buried. Jesus rose from the dead.

No matter what we are dealing with in this life, we are still dealing with the same God. The God who created the galaxies, who created DNA, who created our souls, is the same God who raised Jesus from the dead. He has the power of resurrection. He has the power to bring the dead to life. He has the power to save us, and he will. Just like he raised Jesus, he will raise us, giving us new life.

No matter what circumstance or struggle is bringing you down, you can hope in the fact that God will bring you back from the dead, and you will live forever with him in peace, love and glory.

Dear God, thank you for showing us your resurrection power. When we are discouraged, please remind us of this power and give us hope. Amen.
