With Freedom And Confidence
• What gives you confidence?
• How do you approach God?
In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
Ephesians 3:12
Paul was in prison when he wrote the words “with freedom and confidence.” Can you imagine what prompted those words? Can you imagine being in prison in the first place? And if you can, would you really be feeling free and confident?
The apostle Paul had tremendous faith. And this faith kept him strong. Even though he was in prison, he knew that he was serving God every second that he was behind bars, and his spirit was very much free.
Paul knew that at any moment, he could approach God. At any moment, he could ask God for help, praise God, worship God or just spend some quiet time with him. It is the same for us. If we too have a saving faith in Jesus, we too can approach God at any time with freedom and confidence.
Just as Paul didn’t let prison walls get him down, we too can face the troubles in our lives. Be confident in Jesus. Take advantage of God’s approachability. God is always there for you.
PRAYER
Dear God, thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ so that we can approach you through faith in him. Amen.
