You can easily make these decisions. But what about those trying life situations where the choices are harder and the stakes are higher?
Thankfully, God has pledged to give wisdom to the humble soul who looks to him. How do we distinguish his counsel from the chorus of other voices in our busy lives? God’s wisdom will always square with Scripture—though it may come to us from other sources. It will always result in God’s glory. It will always be practical and down-to-earth.
Need clarity in a tough situation? Ask in faith for guidance, and then listen for the God’s response.
GOD’S PROMISE TO ME
• I will give you wisdom.
• I will gladly show you what to do.
• I will never be annoyed by your request for wisdom.
MY PRAYER TO GOD
O Lord, my life is so full, and I face so many hard decisions. I need insight from above.
I praise you for being the source of all wisdom. You do not resent my requests. Help me to remember your willingness to help in my times of trial. You promise to tell me what to do. What wonderful assurance!
