God Gives Peace To People Of Faith
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.

Turmoil, conflict, restlessness—these are the opposites of peace. They’re also accurate descriptions of our own hearts much of the time.

Why do we churn with worry? What makes us so restless? More importantly, what is the solution to an anxious, stirred-up soul?
The prophet Isaiah revealed that perfect peace comes only to those who trust the Lord. He goes on to say that this trusting process involves fixing our thoughts on God—on who he is, what he has done and what he is able to do. This isn’t just an Old Testament idea; we find such counsel in the New Testament too (see Colossians 3:2 and Hebrews 12:1-2).

You promise peace to those who trust in you and set their minds on you, Lord. You are solid and dependable. You are worthy of my full trust. I love you. You are my rock. As long as I look to you, I cannot be shaken.
