God Is Bigger Than Your Problems

God Is Bigger Than Your Problems

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
Psalm 145:3-5

Have you ever heard the old saying: “Big God, little problems; little God, big problems”?

It’s a simple reminder of the truth that our response during times of trouble is a direct reflection of our view of God.

If we see God as he truly is—majestic, infinite, all-seeing, immanent, awesome, strong and compassionate—we will be more inclined to rest and trust. If, on the other hand, we imagine God to be absent, distant, impotent, unaware or indifferent, we will surely panic.

What is your common response when things fall apart? Do you focus on the magnitude of your problems or the magnificence of our God?

GOD’S PROMISE TO ME
• I am great and worthy of praise.

• I am majestic, glorious and able to do miraculous things.

MY PRAYER TO GOD
O, Lord, you are worthy of praise, far greater than I can even imagine. Forgive the times I take my eyes off you. You are worthy of my full attention and total trust. There is none like you. Teach me to better focus on your greatness and majesty so that I might have perspective in times of trial.
