God’s Word Speaks To The Troubled
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
A lot of people view the Bible as nothing more than an anthology of strange, dusty, old stories compiled by the superstitious residents of another time.
But notice what the Bible claims for itself in the passage above. It says it is “God-breathed” from beginning to end. It claims also the ability to “thoroughly equip” us for life (the term was used to describe the outfitting of a boat or wagon for a long journey).
When we factor in other verses about the Bible being “alive and active” (Hebrews 4:12), we begin to realize the tremendous resource the Bible can be to those in trouble.
Are you letting God speak to you through his Word?
