God Is Thinking About You
But as for me, I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; you are my God, do not delay.

Someone has said that companionship doubles our pleasures and divides our troubles.
Haven’t you experienced this truth in your own life? You can encounter a tough time, but as long as you’re not alone, the situation is somehow tolerable. It’s when no one else is around to see or care, when you feel forgotten, that life’s struggles become almost unendurable.
On one unknown occasion David lamented: “For troubles without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me” (Psalm 40:12).
But if you read on in the psalm, you find the truth that gave David peace in the midst of such an uncertain time. It’s the promise above—that he was not alone or forgotten. He was comforted by the fact that the Lord was always thinking of him. And that made the difference.
GOD’S PROMISE TO ME
• I am thinking about you right now.
• I am your helper and Savior.

Thank you, God, for that wonderfully reassuring reminder that I am never forgotten.
