You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Jesus could not have been clearer. He wants us to have the best life imaginable. So why do the vast majority of folks settle for a dreary, superficial existence?

In The Weight of Glory and Other Addresses, author C. S. Lewis put it this way: “We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”
Don’t be “too easily pleased”! Realize you were created for so much more than the mindless busyness of mud pie-making. Take Jesus up today on his wild offer of “eternal pleasures” by seeking to be continually in his presence.
