You Belong To God
Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Psalm 100:3
If someone asked the question, “What do you own?” we’d probably look around and start listing our furniture, clothing, books, cars or houses. But what if the question was, “What do you take pride in owning?” We would probably turn to things we’ve made or, at the very least, fixed ourselves. We value things where we can say, “I did that.”

If we were to ask God the same question, he probably wouldn’t say anything. He would simply smile gently and hold a mirror up in front of us. It might be hard to believe sometimes, but we are God’s cherished creation. Even when we make mistakes, doubt him or even reject him, he still takes pride in us. We can never escape his love.
Feel special yet? You should. Because when you reciprocate God’s love through the way you live, he looks down on you and says, “I did that.”
