“Such mysteries of God cannot be discerned in themselves, but we behold them only in his Word. But how can the mind rise to such a perception of the divine goodness without at the same time being wholly inflamed with love to God?
“The abundance of joy which God has treasured up for those who fear him cannot be truly known without making a most powerful impression.
“Hence it is not strange that no sinister, perverse heart ever experiences this feeling—a feeling by which we are admitted to the most hidden treasures of God and the holiest recesses of his kingdom, which must not be profaned by the entrance of a heart that is impure.”

To realize fully the wonders of salvation would be more than your finite mind could comprehend. Now you experience only a taste of the banquet you’ll enjoy forever.
Peter described it this way: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope … an inheritance … kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:3-5).
God will one day reveal the full scope and grandeur of salvation. And you can be certain it will be well worth the wait.
