God Is Truth

• What do people mean when they say that “God is truth”?

Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place.
Psalm 51:6

God created the universe, right? He created everything. So, he knows everything too. God, by definition of being the Creator, knows all the truth there is to know. He is the truth.

And he created us in his image. Yes, we are born into a broken and fallen, sin-filled world. But we are each designed to want God’s truth. We are designed to want, need and be faithful to God. We were designed to be an example of his truth.

God wants us to believe in the truth, to seek it, to be faithful to it, and to be faithful to him by always telling the truth. He desires us to honor him by always striving to live the truth. Yes, this will be hard. But we were built for this.

PRAYER
Dear God, thank you for designing us as unique creations. Please help us to be faithful to you. Let us honor your truth by living truthfully. Amen.
