No Grumpies Allowed

No Grumpies Allowed

• When you are told to do something that you don’t really want to do, how do you respond?

• How can you avoid grumbling about doing what you don’t want to do?

Do everything without grumbling or arguing.
Philippians 2:14

Christians are usually busy people—they are busy at home, at work and in church, trying to do God’s work and help as many people as possible. With all this busyness and all this work, it can be tempting to do a little grumbling about all we have going on.

But God doesn’t want Christians grumbling to, or at, one another. God loves a cheerful giver, a person who gives of his or her time, energy and effort willingly and joyfully. When we grumble, we bring others down, and we make it harder for other people to do what they need to do for God. God wants us to support one another and bring joy to every situation.

God doesn’t want Christians arguing either. He doesn’t want us arguing with one another, with authorities or with him. When we are given a task to do, God wants us to do it with smiles on our faces. God wants us to be the lights of the world.

PRAYER
Dear God, please help us to think before we speak and to not complain or argue. Please help us to do everything like we are doing it for you, with smiles on our faces. Amen.
