Remember Me?

Remember Me?

• What is the first thing you learned about God?

• What aspect of God is still a mystery to you?

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them.”
Ecclesiastes 12:1

How well do you know God? How much time do you spend thinking about him? How often do you and your friends talk about him? What keeps you from knowing him better?

Some young people make the mistake of thinking that God and his nature are adult topics, something to think about when they get older. The problem with that line of thinking is that there’s a lot to learn about God. In fact, there’s too much to learn in one lifetime. The longer you wait to start thinking seriously about him, the less time you’ll have to enjoy him.

Start now, while you’re young. Ask questions. Read books. Read the Book! Discover how God interacted with his people in the Old and New Testaments. Learn how he deals with people who oppose him. Investigate his promises and warnings. Study his creation. “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth.”

PRAYER
Dear God, forgive us for the times we’ve neglected to get to know you. Please help us learn more about you every day of our lives. Amen.
