God Leads You
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.

How common it is for busy people in a busy world to lose their bearings. We feel disoriented (“I don’t know whether I’m coming or going!”). We become discouraged, sometimes even despondent (“I don’t understand myself. I don’t know how to get off this treadmill.”). At our lowest moments, we feel forgotten and alone (“Can’t even one friend or loved one see what a mess I’m in? Everyone is too wrapped up in their own hectic lives to help me.”).

Into our confusion steps the living God with words of assurance. He sees us, our hearts, our situations … everything! He completely understands not only our complicated personalities, but also our complex problems. And there’s more. He pledges to guide us into places of rest. Is there a more comforting promise for people who find themselves caught up in “the rat race”?

MY PRAYER TO GOD
Dear God, you monitor my movements and my thoughts. I want to rest in the truth that I am always on your mind. You promise to guide my steps into places of peace. Thank you, Father, for the comfort of knowing I am known—and cared for.
