God’s Spirit Instructs You
I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

Businesses routinely hire consultants. Let’s face it—getting good guidance is a smart way to either get out of trouble or stay out of it.

This is equally true in the spiritual realm. God has given us his Spirit to be our permanent, resident counselor. The Holy Spirit not only shows us which direction to go, he also gives us the power to live as we should.
Today as you engage others and immerse yourself in a full schedule, listen to the quiet voice of the Holy Spirit. He is a perfectly wise counselor who longs to show you the best course of action in each situation.
GOD’S PROMISE TO ME
• I have given you my Spirit.
• As you listen to the counsel of the Spirit, you will live as you should.
MY PRAYER TO GOD
Thank you, God, for coming to live inside me that I might have continual counsel. Keep me from doing what my sinful nature craves. Lord, make me more desirous of following the leading of the Holy Spirit.
